This interview with a non-binary student in Virginia will (allegedly) change your mind about Glenn Youngkin – twitchy.com

As Twitchy reported earlier, students from schools in Virginia walked out in protest of Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s “proposed restrictions on transgender students’ rights.” The walkouts have been featured on ABC News and in USA Today and the Washington Post. Plenty of local D.C. television stations were on hand as well, as this was near enough to be considered local news.

Here’s a challenge for all Twitchy readers. We’ve seen this interview retweeted a million times with text like, “Watch this.” It’s an interview with one of the students who walked out — a non-binary senior who’s so scared of Youngkin that she breaks down into tears. Watch it and see if it doesn’t change your mind about Youngkin’s policies.

This editor was … unmoved. Today’s kids are so fragile they’ll cry at anything, and progressives have fed every feeling of victimhood that comes along with being young. The fact is, there are public schools that are “transitioning” students without their parents’ knowledge. Your non-binary identity is supposed to be a secret between you and your teachers and the guidance counselor and maybe the school nurse.

What do you think?

This is one of those moments when you realize that the discussion over gender is finished — if you don’t buy into it, you’re not allowed to address it, question it, have any say in it … even if you’re a parent. We now know that the doctor makes a guess as to a baby’s sex when it’s born but sometimes the doctor is wrong, and all you can do is affirm a child’s gender choices.
